It can be tricky to find! It is on a lane do not drive up the lane there is space for 3 cars before the lane or I did see cars parked on the road. Walk up the lane which seems strange as no sign posts but it is on your left and can’t be missed.
No toilets. A few table and benches around perfect for picnics in the summer.
I wasn’t expecting so much equipment for a village park! There is a sand area with a slide and digging equipment which was an instant hit with my youngest. Wet for now but will be great in the summer. For toddlers there is a sit on horse, roundabout & baby swings. Whenever I’m at a park there never seems to be enough swings until this one.... 8 of them! There is a challenging apparatus for older children. For my daughter age (5) there wasn’t much she couldn’t go on and some equipment she had never seen before and the best part a ZIP WIRE! If you walk to the slide with the hill and stand at the op you get a view of the helicopters at sywell! I thought this would be fab for plane spotting in summer. An enclosed basket ball area with hoops for the older kids. There is also a football pitch with two goals.
🌻 Mother tripper tips
Take wellies! The grass is like a bog and although can be avoided certain areas like the slide on the hill and pushing in the swings is very wet and boggy. Take a stroll around the edge of the park if you want to tire the kids out more they have a wildlife area which I imagine looks lovely in spring/summer.
ℹ Additional information
Covid procedures: Signs on play equipment explaining one family per area and to wash hands after use. Although it got busy everyone seemed to adhere to this.
