East Carlton park sits close to Leicestershire and Northamptonshire but is claimed by Corby! It is a beautiful park and I am still surprised that it is Free to park! I have visited during all seasons and I am never disapointed. The park is a good side for the children to play and that paths are easy to follow and not too long.

⏰ Time spent
Easy to drive to, car park can be a bit stressful when busy. We arrived very early and reverse parked in to make it easier when leaving.
FREE! Even parking is free!
Toilets available and clean. There is a nice shop, a cafe which is takeaway only at the moment.
As soon as you arrive you can see the park in front of you. We were so early we were lucky enough to have this to ourselves! On a sunny day it’s great with the sand to play in. The views you can see from the park are really pretty too. There is 2 slides, climbing apparatus, and swings. It’s a really lovely park. If you follow the pavement from here it will lead you to the duck lake which is very pretty and you can see fish and turtles n the summer too. You can buy duck feed from the cafe or take your own. There is a great stream area with logs which the kids love to cross in their wellies always popular in the summer. The walk around the country park takes you into a woods which is a steady walk mostly pushchair friendly too, but easier without id say. You can also use the public areas around the edge of the park and walk along some pretty fields and catch a glimpse of the reindeers!
🌻 Mother tripper tips
Wellies are always a good idea. We went at 9:30am super early but worth it as we had the park to ourselves when we left at lunch time people were hunting for car parking spaces.
