📝 Description

With not much else to do here is a throwback of happier times at Cbeebies Land Hotel! We love this hotel it is by far the most child friendly hotel probably in the whole of the United Kingdom! It is the only place I have felt truly relaxed in whilst staying. EVERYTHING is child friendly and safe! The entertainment is spot on and when you leave this place you feel a little dull as inside it is so colourful and happy! Please note the date of visit was 09/12/2019.

🗺 Location

CBeebies Hotel, Alton Towers Resort Staffordshire

⏰ Time spent

36 hours

🚗 Travel

1 hour 30 min drive. Pretty easy drive the village of Alton is very pretty and hilly!! Plenty of parking at the resort if staying at CBeebies hotel.

💰 Cost

A family of 4 including water park tickets, hotel room and breakfast cost £112 for a mid week day in December.

🍴 Facilities

The best place to visit with kids. The bathrooms alone have multiple toilet seats, potty’s, stools! The doors have devices to stop your kids trapping fingers! The beds have nightlights, decor is amazing literally a child’s dream! You can genuinely relax knowing your children are safe and entertained.

🚜 Activities

For the past 2 years our “Elf on the shelf” has blessed the kids with a visit to CBeebies hotel as a Christmas present genuinely gutted we won’t be going this year. I usually book a last minute deal.

We start our visit with the water park - it’s a huge indoor and a little outdoor park where the water is mostly warm. There is a child’s area, water slides and huge guns and lazy river. It’s great for the kids for a few hours better for kids who love water mine aren’t too fussed.

When you arrive at the hotel the vibrant colours hit you and it’s impossible to be unhappy, the check in has a permanent security guard which helps you feel at ease. There is entertainment and interaction everywhere for the children including buttons and their own check in stairs. The colours don’t ever stop including in the lifts and hallways. When you leave to go home you feel like you’ve left a rainbow!

The rooms are fabulous, they have a really comfy king size bed for adults with a tv and tea and coffee. A bunk bed for the kids with pull out third bed underneath. Their own television and interactive wall toys. There is also a travel cot and ironing board.

The best part is the entertainment - this runs in a communal room with a giant television. You can sit back and order an( expensive ) drink from the bar and literally let the kids roam free. The characters are fantastic all the kids get a turn to see them for their pictures. The animation team are brilliant it includes stories, games and discos. Bings pj party and in the night garden are just fabulous!

For dinner there is a restaurant on site which of course caters for children in every way possible. The menu has taken on a healthy feel and has lots of choices. It is quite expensive though but as expected. Breakfast is included in the price and is brilliant it has EVERYTHING you could imagine, full English, pancakes, yogurt, cereals wide variety of juices and tea and coffees.

🌻 Mother tripper tips

We always book the water park for the arrival day, this is so we know the kids will go to bed tired we usually take some snacks for lunch instead of eating there. The entertainment stops around 8pm and the kids have always fallen asleep early! We tend to eat chocolate have a drink in bed and watch I’m a celeb!  Please note this does not include CBEEBIES LAND. Prices are much cheaper during winter months midweek.

ℹ Additional information

Covid procedures: On both occasions I stayed was precovid. I imagine that unfortunately a lot of the interaction may be different now.
